About us

PlayVista is a service operated by Vurtech Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as PlayVista. Our registered office is in London, United Kingdom (WC2H 9JQ). You can contact us at support@playvista.ai.

The Service

PlayBase provides tools for uploading football match and training video, generating analysis, event data, and reports from that video, and interacting with an in-product assistant grounded in your data.

Analysis is produced using machine-learning systems together with human quality review, performed by PlayVista or by service providers acting on our behalf and under our instructions, as described in the Privacy Policy. Features, limits, and availability may change over time. We may add, modify, or remove features with reasonable notice where practicable, or immediately where required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Any turnaround time, processing estimate, or delivery window shown in the product or in our communications is a target, not a warranty. Actual times depend on footage quality, queue volume, and provider capacity. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and planned or emergency maintenance may temporarily affect availability.

Eligibility and accounts

The Service is intended for coaches, analysts, clubs, academies, and related football organisations, and for individuals acting in a professional or semi-professional coaching or analysis context. It is not intended for children to open their own accounts.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if higher. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly at support@playvista.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.

You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.

Analysis jobs and credits

Match analysis is a metered feature paid for with credits. The following rules apply to every analysis job:

• Consumption. Credits are deducted from your balance when you trigger analysis of a video.
• Processing. Triggering analysis instructs us to process the video and its match metadata through our analysis pipeline, which may include service providers acting on our behalf, and to deliver the resulting event data and reports to your account.
• Refund on failure. Credits are returned to your balance if the submission fails, or if we or our analysis providers report that the analysis could not be completed, including because the footage was unsuitable for reliable analysis (for example, because of resolution, camera coverage, missing footage, or file corruption). Where practicable we will tell you why.
• No refund for timing alone. Credits are not refunded solely because a target turnaround time was missed.
• Limits. We may apply fair-use limits, queue priority, and file-size or format restrictions, and may decline to process footage that violates these Terms.

Your content and licences

You may upload match and training video, metadata, and other materials (“User Content”) to the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content.

Service licence

You grant PlayVista a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transcode, reproduce, analyse, and process your User Content, to generate event data, reports, and assistant responses from it, and to display it and those outputs to you and to the users you authorise within your account. This licence extends to the service providers acting on our behalf to the extent needed to perform those tasks. It lasts for as long as the Service needs it to deliver what you have requested and for the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy, and ends when the content is deleted in accordance with that policy.

Use of your User Content to develop, train, and improve our models is covered by the separate development and training licence below.

Your responsibilities for footage

You must not upload User Content unless you are entitled to do so. By uploading footage you warrant that:

• You hold all rights, permissions, and consents needed to upload the footage and metadata, including from any venue, league, broadcaster, or rights holder.
• You have a lawful basis under applicable data protection law for every person shown in the footage (players, coaches, officials, and spectators), and have given them any notices required.
• You have authority to share the footage with PlayVista and with the service providers described in the Privacy Policy, including for review by trained analysts, to instruct us to process it as described in these Terms, and to grant the development and training licence below.
• Where the footage includes anyone under 18, you have obtained and documented the consents, permissions, and safeguarding approvals required by applicable law and by your club, league, or governing body. PlayVista does not verify that such consents have been obtained.

You must not upload User Content that:

• Infringes any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
• Contains malware, viruses, or code designed to disrupt the Service.
• You do not have the right to share, including confidential or proprietary material belonging to others without permission.

Development and training licence

You grant PlayVista a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable (to our service providers only) licence, transferable to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, to use, reproduce, process, analyse, adapt, and create derivative works from your User Content and the event data, reports, and other outputs derived from it for the purpose of developing, training, testing, improving, and operating PlayVista's products and services, including machine-learning models, analytics tools, and related technologies. PlayVista may combine this data with other data, including aggregated or anonymised datasets, for those purposes.

• Results. Models, insights, algorithms, and other results generated from this processing are owned by PlayVista and may be retained and used indefinitely. You acquire no rights in them. Nothing in these Terms requires PlayVista to use any particular User Content for these purposes.
• Right to object. The Privacy Policy describes how PlayVista processes personal data in footage for this purpose and how you, or anyone shown in your footage, can object. If you object by emailing support@playvista.ai (or, once available, through your account settings), this licence ends for future training use of the affected content. Ending it does not require us to delete, retrain, or withdraw models already trained.
• Authority. You represent and warrant that you have obtained all rights, permissions, and consents necessary for PlayVista to use your User Content as described in this section.
• Our providers. Specialist video analysis providers are contractually prohibited from using your content to train or improve their own models. AI model providers are not. Their terms may allow them to use inputs sent to them to operate or improve their services.

Data protection

This section applies to personal data about the people shown in the footage and metadata you upload, which we process as your processor. It does not apply to your own account, billing, usage, and assistant data, for which PlayVista is the controller and the Privacy Policy applies.

• Roles. You are the controller of personal data relating to the people shown in your User Content. PlayVista is your processor for that data, except that where PlayVista uses data derived from User Content to develop, train, and improve its own products under the development and training licence, PlayVista acts as controller for that purpose, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• Instructions. We will process that personal data only on your documented instructions. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the actions you take in the product (such as uploading a video, triggering analysis, or deleting content) are your instructions.
• Confidentiality and security. We will ensure that personnel and analysts with access to your footage are bound by confidentiality obligations, and we will maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures as described in the Privacy Policy.
• Authorisation of service providers. You give us general written authorisation to engage service providers (sub-processors) in the categories listed in the Privacy Policy, including cloud hosting, specialist video analysis providers whose trained analysts may review footage, and AI model providers. For hosting, video analysis, and our other infrastructure providers, we will impose data protection obligations no less protective than those in this section, and we remain responsible for their performance of those obligations. AI model providers process data under their own terms, which may not prohibit them from using inputs for their own purposes. If we add a new category of service provider, we will update the Privacy Policy and, where appropriate, notify you before the change takes effect. If you object to a new category, your remedy is to stop using the affected feature or to close your account before the change takes effect.
• International transfers. Where personal data is accessed from outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we will ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place.
• Assistance. Taking into account the nature of the processing, we will assist you in responding to requests from individuals shown in your footage and in meeting your security and breach-notification obligations. We will notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your footage.
• Deletion. On deletion of content or termination of your account, we will delete or anonymise the personal data in your User Content within the periods stated in the Privacy Policy, unless the law requires us to retain it.
• Information and audit. We will make available the information reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance with this section. Business customers who require a full data processing agreement, including details of the processors involved in handling their footage, may request one at support@playvista.ai.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of applicable law or these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service except as permitted by law or explicit written permission from us.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs except as part of your normal coaching or analysis activities for your own team or organisation.
• Interfere with or overload the Service, including by circumventing usage limits or credit requirements.
• Use the Service to develop a competing product or service.

Outputs

The analysis, event data, statistics, reports, summaries, and assistant responses produced by the Service (“Outputs”) are provided for informational purposes only.

• Outputs are generated by machine-learning systems with human quality review and may contain errors, omissions, or misidentified events. Review them before you rely on them.
• Outputs are not medical advice and must not be used for injury assessment, return-to-play decisions, or other health-related judgments.
• Outputs must not be used as the sole basis for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on any individual, such as player contracts, selection, or disciplinary action.
• Coaching, tactical, selection, and performance decisions remain your responsibility.

PlayVista does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any Output.

Intellectual property

PlayVista and its licensors own all rights in the Service itself, including software, design, branding, documentation, models, and underlying technology. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

You retain ownership of your User Content. Subject to your ownership of the underlying video, PlayVista owns the systems and methods used to generate Outputs. You may use Outputs generated for your account for your own coaching and analysis purposes, but you may not misrepresent Outputs as human-authored professional certifications or guarantees of performance.

If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

Fees, subscriptions and credits

Some features require a paid subscription or the purchase of credits. Prices, packages, and included features are shown at the point of purchase and may change for new purchases with notice.

• Subscriptions — Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel through your account settings or billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise at purchase.
• Credits — Pre-purchased credits are consumed when you use metered features, as described in Analysis jobs and credits. Unused credits expire twenty-four (24) months after the date of purchase unless we state a different expiry at the point of sale.
• Payment — Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. You authorise us and our payment provider to charge your chosen payment method for applicable fees, taxes, and renewals.
• Failed payments — If payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is received.

Refunds

Except where required by applicable law or stated in Analysis jobs and credits, all fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds for partially used subscription periods, credits consumed by completed analysis, or unused credits after expiry. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact support@playvista.ai within thirty (30) days of the charge.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may cancel paid features as described above. You may delete your account from your settings or by contacting support@playvista.ai.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or remove User Content, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, pose a security or legal risk, or if we are required to do so by law. Where practicable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach before termination, but we may act immediately for serious or repeated violations.

On termination, your right to access the Service ends and the service licence ends. We will delete or anonymise your account and User Content within the periods stated in the Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention requirements. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and the development and training licence to the extent of models and results already generated) will continue to apply.

Content complaints and takedown

If you believe User Content on the Service infringes your rights, includes you without permission, or otherwise violates these Terms, contact us at support@playvista.ai with:

• Your name and contact details.
• A description of the content and where it appears (including account or video identifiers if known).
• The reason for your complaint (for example, lack of consent, copyright, or privacy).
• A statement that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

We will review complaints in good faith and may remove content, restrict access, or take other appropriate action. We may contact the uploading account holder where relevant. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.

Service providers

We deliver the Service with the help of service providers in the categories described in the Privacy Policy, including cloud hosting, specialist video analysis providers, AI model providers, and payment processing. They act on our behalf and under written contracts, and your acceptance of these Terms includes the authorisation described in Data protection.

The Service may also link to or integrate with third-party services that you choose to use. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlayVista disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors, or that automated outputs will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to the paragraph above, PlayVista will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Subject to the paragraphs above, PlayVista's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service in any twelve (12) month period is limited to the greater of: (a) the fees you paid to PlayVista in that period; or (b) one hundred pounds (£100), if you used only free features during that period.

Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless PlayVista, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your User Content; (b) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or applicable law; or (c) any dispute between you and a third party relating to footage you uploaded, including claims by players, clubs, or other individuals visible in your User Content.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The newest version replaces all previous versions. The date at the top of this page is the date of the latest update. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting an updated version on this page, displaying a notice in the Service, or by email where appropriate, and we may ask you to accept the new version before continuing to use the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

General

• Entire agreement — These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order or plan details shown at purchase, form the entire agreement between you and PlayVista regarding the Service. Where you have signed a separate written agreement or data processing agreement with us, that agreement prevails over these Terms to the extent of any conflict.
• Severability — If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No waiver — Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
• Assignment — You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
